Before there was a Taos Ski Valley, our mountain hunting lodge stood alone beside the waters of the Rio Hondo at the base of this towering mountain. Constructed of huge pine timbers cut for a local copper mining operation in the 1890s, the lodge first sheltered hunters, fishermen and artists.

Built in 1990, expressly to serve families and couples who enjoy skiing together, it is Taos Ski Valley's only lodge with the new adobe architechture that is so much a part of New Mexico and the southwest.
 

The Columbine Inn is truly a unique, alpine inn. It is owned and operated by avid skiers and outdoor enthusiasts, Paul and Susie Geilenfeldt.   From the spacious lobby to the indoor hot tub room, the woodwork and ceilings of this unique, timber frame structure will take your breath away.   A stay at our lodge includes the personal service and hospitality of times gone by.
